Job Description

We are actively seeking a TDLR Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join an active datacenter construction project located in Claude, TX. This is a hands-on, full-time contract role expected to run for approximately two years, offering stable, well-paying work for a qualified tradesperson who is ready to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing electrical installations across various phases of a large-scale commercial construction project, working as part of a focused and experienced crew.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be installing, terminating, and troubleshooting electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will work closely with foremen, project managers, and fellow journeymen to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working 60-hour weeks to meet project milestones. Your work will directly support the successful delivery of a critical infrastructure project that will serve major data operations for years to come.

The ideal candidate holds an active TDLR Journeyman Electrician license (not apprentice), is OSHA 10 certified, and has demonstrated experience working with rigid conduit. A commitment to on-site attendance for the full duration of the project is essential — this is not a remote or flexible-schedule role. Duties and Responsibilities
\n
\n - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with project plans and applicable electrical codes.
\n - Bend, cut, thread, and install rigid conduit and EMT as required by project specifications.
\n - Pull wire and cable through conduit and raceways and complete terminations to panels, switchgear, and devices.
\n - Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation.
\n - Perform quality checks on completed work to verify compliance with NEC standards and project specifications.
\n - Collaborate daily with the foreman and project supervisor to receive task assignments and report progress.
\n - Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
\n - Identify and communicate potential safety hazards, installation conflicts, or project delays to the foreman immediately.
\n - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite throughout the duration of the project.
\n - Attend and participate in any required safety meetings, toolbox talks, or pre-task planning sessions.
\n - Accurately complete daily timesheets and any required site documentation.
\n - Support project completion goals by maintaining a consistent 60-hour work week as scheduled.

Required Experience/Skills
\n
\n - Active TDLR Journeyman Electrician License — applicants holding only an apprentice license will NOT be considered.
\n - Valid OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 a plus).
\n - Demonstrated hands-on experience installing and working with rigid conduit.
\n - Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to apply it on the job.
\n - Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
\n - Proven experience on commercial or industrial construction projects.
\n - Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor/industrial environment for extended shifts.
\n - Ability to commit to and maintain the full 60-hour weekly schedule for the 2-year project duration.
\n - Reliable transportation to and from the Claude, TX project site.
\n - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
\n - Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a cohesive team.
\n - Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions as required by the project.

Nice-to-Haves

\n - OSHA 30 certification.
\n - Prior experience on datacenter, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial electrical projects.
\n - Familiarity with datacenter electrical infrastructure including PDUs, UPS systems, and bus duct.
\n - Experience using conduit bending machines (mechanical/hydraulic) for large-diameter rigid conduit.
\n - Experience working with high-voltage systems (480V and above).
\n - Background working in a union or large general contractor environment.
\n - First Aid/CPR certification.
\n - Familiarity with Texas local electrical codes and inspection processes.

\n - High school diploma or GED equivalent.
\n - Completion of a state-recognized Journeyman Electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent trade school training resulting in a valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician license.

\n - Additional continuing education in electrical systems, safety, or construction management is a plus.

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay: $40.00/hour, with raises available based on performance and demonstrated skill.

Per diem: $178.00 per day worked to help offset housing and meal expenses while on the project.

Overtime: Consistent 60-hour work weeks provide significant weekly earnings potential — estimated $2,800–$3,200+ per week depending on applicable overtime rates.
