Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Endocrinologist Physician, you will join a growing, physician-led practice at Dignity Health Medical Group - Merced, playing a pivotal role in the continued success, design, and development of our regional Endocrinology service line.
\n\nYou will provide expert outpatient and inpatient clinical care to adult patients, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic bone diseases. You will also contribute significantly to shaping a robust care network in a highly collaborative environment.
\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will be a BC/BE Endocrinology physician with a passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse community, strong clinical and diagnostic skills, and a commitment to building a premier service line within a supportive, mission-driven environment. Deliver comprehensive clinical management for a wide variety of complex endocrine conditions, including diabetes (Types 1, 2, and gestational), thyroid diseases, and adrenal and pituitary disorders.

Perform diagnostic procedures such as thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies, and accurately interpret imaging studies to assess and diagnose endocrine disorders.

Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with a dedicated network of local family medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and nephrology providers to manage complex, co-morbid patient cases.

Educate patients on managing chronic endocrine conditions independently, focusing heavily on modern lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and medication adherence.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

Annual base salary ($300,000 - $330,000/year) plus productivity-based incentives

Sign-on bonus up to $40,000 and relocation assistance up to $20,000

Required

MD or DO degree with Board Certification or Eligibility in Endocrinology
\n - \n
California Medical License (or ability to obtain) and DEA Certification
\n - \n
Experience or interest in designing and developing a new endocrinology service line

Demonstrated interest in chronic disease management and preventive care
\n - \n
Excellent communication skills and commitment to team-based, patient-centered care
\n - \n
Ability to work independently and contribute to the establishment of a new endocrinology practice
