We are currently looking for a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a part of our rehabilitation team. Please note that on-site presence is required for service delivery.
Position Overview:
In the role of PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat residents facing challenges with communication, cognition, and swallowing. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement customized therapy plans aimed at improving residents' quality of life and fostering their independence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on residents’ specific needs and objectives.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions, including compensatory strategies, exercises, and alternative communication methods.
- Educate residents, their families, and staff on effective communication and swallowing management techniques.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and effective care delivery.
- Track residents’ progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and document results accurately.
- Ensure timely and precise documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Engage in quality improvement efforts and contribute to the overall success of the rehabilitation department.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Colorado.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation environments is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on resident-centered care.
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis as required.
- Familiarity with documentation practices and electronic medical records (EMRs).
