Neurology Opportunity

Our organization is excited to present a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician to become part of a well-established practice in Athens, Georgia, with a target start date in 2027.

The chosen candidate will collaborate with two other Neurologists in a practice that focuses entirely on outpatient care. This team is dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical excellence in patient treatment, employing advanced, evidence-based medical practices, and leveraging the latest innovations and technologies. The practice emphasizes holistic care, addressing the mind, body, and spirit of each patient. Neurologists and support staff work diligently to enhance the overall well-being of every individual, approaching each case with empathy and understanding. Inpatient neurology services are managed by a dedicated team of neurohospitalists, complemented by a full-time RN stroke coordinator.

There are also opportunities available for teaching local medical students.

Our organization has been at the forefront of Neuroscience care, having introduced the region's first medical CT scanner in 1973 and launching part-time mechanical thrombectomy services in 2017.

Since 2004, we have maintained continuous certification as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Additionally, we have been honored with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines Gold-Plus Award for stroke care for ten consecutive years and have been recognized on the Target: Stroke honor roll for eight years running. All three hospitals within our system provide 24/7 emergency diagnostics and Alteplase administration, with neurohospitalist coverage at our Athens facility and 24/7 REACH telehealth specialist support across all locations.
