Fulltime 40 hrs dayshift will work five 8 hour shifts with Saturday rotation

Responsibilities:
\n

\n
    \n
  • Is responsible for performance of routine or special procedures.
  • \n
  • Transfers and positions patients.
  • \n
  • Supports department and hospital based CPI activities by actively participating in the CPI process.
  • \n
  • Assists physicians in administering opaque media.
  • \n
  • Rotates within the Department or other areas and by shift as required.
  • \n
  • Maintains and correctly develops film by means of CR processors for localizations for mammography.
  • \n
  • Assists with scheduling of breast biopsy patients as assigned.
  • \n
  • Selects and operates equipment as directed.
  • \n
  • Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination.
  • \n
  • Complies with established occupational BBF and TB exposure policies.
  • \n
  • Provides protective devices as required.
  • \n
  • Performs quality assurance activities, as assigned.
  • \n
  • Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • \n
  • Utilizes tracking equipment to ensure accurate record keeping and proper charging of patient exams.
  • \n
  • Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
  • \n
  • Maintains adequate records as directed on requisitions, etc.
  • \n
  • Use of PACS. Use of the Radiology Information System.
  • \n
  • Assists in performing first aid as necessary.
  • \n
  • Assists with procedures in mammography and sets up and operates equipment, takes radiographs as directed by the radiologist.
  • \n
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness.Secures and returns needed supplies.
  • \n
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to adapt to clinical treatment and instructional aspect of care to all stages of the life cycle and to various states of health and disease.

Education and Formal Training Required:

\n
    \n
  • High school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of a radiology technology program, and must be an American Registered Radiology Technologist.
  • \n
  • Must possess manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; must be able to adapt to all types of conditions of patients.
  • \n
\n

Experience Required:

\n
    \n
  • One year as a radiologic technologist and must obtain advanced certification in mammography within 12 months of hire or transfer.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    \n CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • ARRT Certificate
  • \n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • \n
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
  • \n
