Job Overview and Qualifications


POSITION SUMMARY:


The Registered Nurse (RN) staff member delivers direct nursing care in line with the established protocols of our organization and the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Working collaboratively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, the clinical RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating treatment plans and overall care strategies.


Qualifications Required:

MANDATORY LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:


  1. Texas or Compact State Nursing License

  2. BCLS Certification

  3. NRP Certification


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


1. Completion of an Accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing


2. Proficient oral and written communication abilities


3. Capability to collaborate within a team to ensure high-quality care


4. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills


5. Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively


6. Ability to lead a team and work as a cooperative team member


7. Outstanding customer service skills adhering to the AIDET philosophy


8. Proficient in computer usage for charting and order entry



PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:


1. Experience in perinatal and neonatal healthcare is preferred


2. Completion of the S.T.A.B.L.E. course within six months of hire is preferred


3. RNC certification is preferred


4. Knowledge in breastfeeding education is preferred



SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:


N/A

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment
    • (RN) Registered Nurse
    • Neonate Resuscitation or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification must be obtained within six months of starting employment
  • No travel is required
  • 1 year of experience is required
