In the role of a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care, your insights and contributions to patient care are highly regarded and encouraged at every level. Whether through collaborative interactions with your direct supervisor or more structured avenues such as hospital councils and national nursing initiatives, you will play a key role in shaping decisions that enhance patient outcomes and the nursing profession.
Overview of Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, your primary duty will be to provide exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for your specialty and state. Working closely with healthcare providers and the care team, you will deliver individualized, thorough, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing frameworks like ‘Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.’ Additionally, you will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, reflecting the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure a superior patient experience and favorable clinical results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the patient's condition upon admission and during each scheduled shift, quickly identifying and reporting any changes in their status.
- Carry out procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, observe the patient for therapeutic responses, and take necessary actions in case of any adverse reactions.
- Deliver outstanding care by promptly addressing patient requests, anticipating their needs, and resolving issues proactively.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, ensuring they fully understand by simplifying complex medical terms.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- One year of relevant experience is required.
- No travel is necessary for this position.
