Family Medicine Physician

Location: Hagerstown, MD (Valley Mall)

Compensation: $250,000 Base Salary + $20,000 Sign-On Bonus + RVU Incentive Bonus

Position Overview

This role focuses on outpatient family medicine, providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.

• Patient Load: Manage 20-24 patients daily
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Base Salary: $250,000 with additional productivity incentives
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
• Call Schedule: Rotating call for weeknights and weekends
• Support: Strong clinical backing with dedicated nursing and administrative teams

Clinical Responsibilities

This position entails delivering comprehensive, ongoing care to families, including:

• Well-child and well-woman examinations
• Acute illness consultations
• Management of chronic diseases
• Preventive healthcare and maintenance
• Routine gynecological services
• Minor office procedures (based on training and interest)

Patient Demographics

Care for a diverse patient population, including:

• Newborns, infants, and children
• Adolescents
• Adults with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
• Women's health and prenatal care coordination
• Elderly patients

Clinical Volume

• Daily patient interactions of 20-24
• A blend of acute, chronic, preventive, and follow-up visits
• Emphasis on quality metrics, including diabetes management and patient satisfaction

Academic Opportunities

Engage in teaching medical students and residents, with the upcoming launch of the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine in Summer 2025 and expanding residency programs. Opportunities include:

• Participation in didactic sessions
• Precepting based on interest

Work Schedule & Call

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with occasional documentation time extending beyond 4:30 PM)
• Rotating call for weeknights and weekends, shared among providers
• No inpatient duties required

Clinical Support

• Dedicated LPNs, Medical Assistants, and administrative staff at each site
• Support from a Medical Director and practice management
• Collaborative team environment with access to specialists
• Modern facilities equipped with electronic health records
