Qualifications

- BC/BE physician required. \n
- Completion of Hospice/Palliative Medicine fellowship preferred. \n
- 1-3 years of hospice medical director experience preferred. \n

- Full time position serving as Hospice Medical Director for Avera Hospice Sioux Falls (80%) and Lead Hospice Medical Director for Avera Hospice system (20%). \n

- Enjoy working with certified nurse practitioners, RNs, Case Managers, Social Workers, Pharmacist, Chaplain, Music Therapist, Massage Therapist, Home Hospice Aides and many volunteers. \n
- CMS Hospice 5 Star designation. \n
- 16 bed inpatient facility that provides all levels of care. \n
- Census between 130-150 home hospice patients. \n
- Contribute to the inter-disciplinary team and oversee clinical aspects of patient care, modeling excellent communication skills, integrity, compassion, and accountability. \n
