Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support site preparation activities on a utility-scale solar project in Gauley Bridge, WV. Operators will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating full-size excavators to perform rock-breaking operations and other site preparation tasks while maintaining productivity and adhering to all safety requirements.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Schedule: 6x12s (Monday–Saturday)
\n
• Pay Rate: $39.19/hr
\n
• Fringe Rate: $20.45/hr
\n
• Per Diem: $100/per work day
\n
• Length: 8 weeks
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Operate a full-size excavator to prepare the site for construction.
\n
• Operate excavators for rock excavation and breaking activities, including trenching, grading, and material handling as required.
\n
• Build and maintain access roads within the project area.
\n
• Perform erosion control measures and site leveling.
\n
• Assist with moving and placing materials as directed.
\n
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintain equipment in good working order.
\n
• Follow all site-specific and company safety protocols.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil construction.
\n
• Proficient in operating full-size excavators for road building, grading, and site prep.
\n
• Ability to operate other heavy equipment including bulldozer, Haul Truck, and Roller(Cat D6, Cat 336, Cat 740 Articulating Truck)

• OSHA 10 Certification Required
\n
• Strong understanding of excavation safety practices.
\n
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
\n
• Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
\n
• Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
\n
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.
\n
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
\n
