Electrician

Southwestern Wire, Inc., a leading producer of chain link fencing & steel wire products, nationwide, is seeking an Electrician for work in manufacturing and industrial environments. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for production equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of electrical systems
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an industrial electrician or similar role
• Working knowledge of PLCs
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Experience working with power tools and hand tools for electrical installations and repairs
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to electrical work

PREFERRED:

• Applicants who have or are in the process of obtaining contractor license

PAY: Average $18-20 per hour (pay varies depending on production)
