Anesthesiology, Locum Anesthesiologist - Indiana

General Description

The practice consists of general anesthesia, OB, vascular surgery, cath lab, healthy pediatrics (down to 6 months of age), occasional NORA, and basic nerve blocks. No CRNA supervision.

The provider needs to agree to perform ALL of the following cases from Day 1

- Healthy pediatrics down to 6 months of age

- Major vascular/interventional vascular including AAA repair

- Cardiac Cath lab cases including both electrophysiology and structural heart procedures without the interpretation of TEE images

- OB - including spinal and epidural anesthesia

- Trauma

- Regional Anesthesia/Peripheral nerve blocks

- Placement of central venous catheters and arterial catheters

- Difficult intubation

This is a Mon- Fri 8 hour shift. No night call or weekend call.

Details about Cardic: The cath lab cases are both ablations and angioplasty/stents, as well as ICDs, EP studies, and atrial appendage occlusion devices. We primarily need interscalene blocks with occasional popliteal and supraclavicular blocks.

The ideal candidate will be:

Active IN license, DEA & CSR
\n Fully credentialed with agency
\n Zero NPDB concerns
\n Clean Background
\n Consent to all procedures and sign Anesthesia Attestation
\n Available for multiple assignments and into 2027

Aug 3 – Aug 7

Aug 17 – Aug 21

Nov 23 – Nov 25 (No Thanksgiving 26 & 27)

Dec 7 – Dec 11

Dec 14 – 18

Dec 21 – Dec 23 (No Christmas Eve, No Christmas Day)

Dec 28 – Dec 31 (No New Years Day)

Credentialing Requirements Other: Certifications relevant to job duties or privilege assignment may be required in accordance with organizational policy or regulatory standards

\n Candidate Requirements

\n Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency).
\n Minimum Years Experience (if applicable): More than 2 years
\n Flu vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
\n Covid vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
\n Certifications: ACLS - Required if requesting conscious sedation privileges, BLS – Required for all specialties.
