Industrial Electrical Field Superintendents

MMR Constructors, Inc. is accepting resumes for Electrical Field Superintendents for a project in Abilene, Texas.

The superintendent will be responsible for supervision of multiple crews, resource coordination, safety, procurement, quality, payroll, project controls, scheduling subcontractors, timekeeping, as well as attending client meetings. In addition, they are responsible for layout, installation, and repair of electrical / instrument wiring, devices, supports, equipment, etc.

Job Duration: 1 year

Job Schedule: 60/week (6/10's)

Rate: $40-$50 per hour (depending on experience)

Per diem: $900/ week (must meet mileage requirements)

Duties and Responsibilities of Electrical Field Superintendent (including but not limited to):

\n
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
\n
• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints.
\n
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit/ cable tray and pulls wiring through conduit or lays cable in cable tray.
\n
• Connects wiring to switch gears, junction boxes, lighting fixtures and equipment.
\n
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
\n
• Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
\n
• Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments
\n
• such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, hot stick, multi meter and/ or oscilloscope.
\n
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation,
\n
• or replacement.
\n
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems. Tools used include rulers, hand tools, hack saws, pipe threaders, conduit benders, ladders, etc.
\n
• Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts.
\n
• Disassembles defective electrical equipment such as motors, switch gears and circuit breakers.
\n
• Loads transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
\n
• Assists in lifting, positioning and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, cable trays and motors.
\n
• Implement and enforce all QA/QC procedures
\n
• Attend safety training as directed
\n
• Commitment to the company goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures

• Employee must be able to travel to and from the jobsite via personal vehicle or other public form of transportation

Skills:

\n
• Must have ability to read blueprints, drawings, technical manuals and based on them, perform necessary operations for the installation and/or repair of equipment
