Job Description
Position Summary: The CT Tech/Radiology Tech performs radiology and CT procedures, conducting diagnostic evaluations of patients while providing clinical instruction to students. They follow pain management protocols and maintain records and supplies.
\nEssential Functions:
\n- \n
- Conducts CT and Radiology procedures and diagnostic evaluations, applying exposure parameters according to patient needs. \n
- Assesses patient needs relevant to procedures. \n
- Stocks rooms with supplies and maintains an organized working area. \n
- Maintains records for patient safety and diagnostic quality, performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks as needed. \n
- Utilizes radiation protection measures and follows hospital policies for pain management and restraint use. \n
- Demonstrates proficiency with PACS and MediTech systems. \n
- Provides clinical instruction to students and mentors new techs. \n
- Performs other assigned duties. \n
Education & Training Requirements:
\n- \n
- Current ARRT certification (R), with preferred experience in CT (not required). \n
- Current NM State license. \n
- AHA BLS certification within 3 months of hire. \n
