Adventist Health + Rideout is seeking multiple experienced Ortho Physician Assistant to join medical group just outside of Sacramento in Yuba City, CA. As a Trauma Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to critically injured patients coming through our ED and Acute Care Surgery.

Responsibilities:

  Collaborate with the trauma team, including trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to trauma patients.

• \n

  Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their injuries.

\n
• \n

  Assist in resuscitation efforts, including airway management, vascular access, and administration of medications.

\n
• \n

  Conduct thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the extent of injuries.

\n
• \n

  Interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings to the supervising physician.

\n
• \n

  Assist in performing life-saving procedures and surgeries, such as chest tube placement, central line insertion, and wound management.

\n
• \n

  Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and provide necessary interventions to stabilize their condition.

\n

Qualifications:

\n
• \n

  Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program

\n
• \n

  Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant for California

\n
• \n

  DEA/NPI

\n
• \n

  Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a trauma or surgery setting

\n
• \n

  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

\n
• \n

  Strong knowledge of trauma assessment and management protocols.

\n
• \n

  Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
