Job Opportunity: Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician

Our organization is currently looking for a full-time, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician specializing in Family Practice or Internal Medicine to join our outpatient clinic located in Fairview, Oregon. This role will act as the Primary Care Clinical Practice Manager Physician. As part of the Portland VA Medical Center, you will deliver services within a comprehensive network of care facilities, including various outpatient clinics and hospitals throughout Oregon. The primary care provider will operate as a highly skilled, independent practitioner, managing patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and utilizing cutting-edge medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage patient care within an integrated team environment.
  • Oversee a panel of approximately 900 patients, providing comprehensive care for both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Engage in the PACT Model (Patient Aligned Care Team) alongside a team that includes a Primary Care Provider (PCP), Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Medical Support Assistant.
  • Address common health issues such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain.
  • Work Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday shifts required.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical or surgical license in the United States.
  • Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills.
  • Strong commitment to staff education, professional development, and fostering positive labor relations.
