Job Overview

The role involves supporting the supervisor in staff training, competency assessments, and evaluations. The individual will focus on delivering the highest standards of patient care and safety. Responsibilities include performing and assisting with imaging procedures while adhering to the established practices of a registered technologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the education and evaluation of staff members.
  • Ensure optimal patient care and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Perform and support various imaging tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with the standards set for registered technologists.
QualificationsRequired Education

A vocational degree is mandatory, specifically from a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the ARRT.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to handle stress and traumatic situations with composure.
  • Understanding of imaging procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment.
  • Proficient in computer technology, electronic imaging, and troubleshooting issues.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
  • Florida State License.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in CT.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in General Radiology.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
