Job Description
Our organization is looking for a full-time Endocrinologist (MD or DO) to join our dedicated team of Advanced Practice Providers and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. This role aims to enhance our diabetes care and education clinic, transforming it into a comprehensive diabetes and endocrine clinic. The ideal candidate will have the chance to develop an outpatient-focused practice that emphasizes a patient-centered approach to care. The primary responsibilities of the endocrinologist will include providing care to patients in an outpatient setting, serving as a resource for our multidisciplinary diabetes team, supporting referrals from the broader medical group, and collaborating with system leadership to promote and expand the endocrinology practice. The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no after-hours call responsibilities. The position is based at our locations in Nampa and Meridian.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient care to patients with endocrine disorders.
- Act as a resource for the multidisciplinary diabetes team.
- Support referrals from the larger medical group.
- Collaborate with leadership to market and grow the endocrinology practice.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship program.
- Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
- Preferred experience in managing endocrine diseases or chronic care.
- A robust medical background with a commitment to developing a practice that supports a growing multi-specialty medical group. This includes obtaining medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon to enhance the Health System's general internal program across all communities served, including telemedicine.
- Ability to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Dedication to fostering a welcoming environment and a patient-focused clinic for patients, families, and referring providers.
