Global Women's Health Fellowship, Clinical Instructor, OBGYN
Job Description
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a fellow in our newly established Global Women's Health Fellowship program. This two-year fellowship combines clinical practice, teaching, and research responsibilities at our organization and Hospital Central de Maputo in Mozambique. Upon completion, the fellow will earn an advanced degree in public health, fully prepared to lead a global health initiative focused on enhancing women's health through capacity building, clinical education, program development, and implementation.
The primary aim of this fellowship is to cultivate OBGYN professionals who are not only globally competent but also effective leaders in the field of Global Women's Health. Graduates will emerge as experts, qualified to pursue leadership roles in academic medicine, public health, international development, and governmental positions. Candidates must be open to relocating to Mozambique for a duration of one year.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an OBGYN residency in the United States.
- A strong commitment to promoting health equity for underserved and marginalized communities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.

Our organization serves as Long Island's leading academic medical center, encompassing the entire medical enterprise of the university. We integrate various health-related initiatives, including education, research, and patient care. Our facilities include the university hospital, children's hospital, and five health sciences schools, along with numerous community-based healthcare settings throughout the region.
With a capacity of 624 beds, our university hospital is the only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center in Suffolk County. The children's hospital features over 180 pediatric specialists across 30 specialties, providing the most advanced pediatric care available in the area.
