\nBoynton Beach, Florida 33437We are seeking a dependable and patient-centered Medical Assistant – Float to join our clinical team. This role is critical to ensuring continuity of care across multiple office locations, providing back-office support wherever operational needs arise. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient preparation for physician examinations, perform triage and assessments, deliver patient education, and support follow-up care as directed by the physician.\n
\nThe ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically competent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of HMO insurance carriers is required, along with the ability to build professional, compassionate rapport with patients while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting efficient clinical workflows.*Position Description & Duties and Responsibilities*\n
\n* Float between designated office locations to provide clinical support as needed.\n
\n* Perform patient triage and assessments.\n
\n* Obtain and record patient vital signs.\n
\n* Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.\n
\n* Support physicians during in-office clinical procedures.\n
\n* Provide patient education and instructions as directed.\n
\n* Assist with follow-up on test results and communicate care instructions to patients.\n
\n* Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records.\n
\n* Coordinate scheduling and pre-certification for diagnostic tests (e.g., CT, MRI, PET scans).\n
\n* Maintain patient charts, medical records, and physician dictation.\n
\n* Manage patient phone messages and ensure timely follow-up.\n
\n* Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.\n
\n* Perform lab and X-ray duties if certified.\n
\n* Order and restock medical supplies as needed.\n
\n* Perform additional duties as assigned by the physician or practice manager.\n
\n*Position Qualifications / Education & Experience*\n
\n* High School diploma or equivalent required.\n
\n* 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred; formal medical training or certification from a trade school is a plus.\n
\n* Knowledge of HMO insurance plans required.\n
\n* Familiarity with Athena, CPT, and ICD-10 coding preferred.\n
\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, providers, and staff.\n
\n* Proficient computer and typing skills with a high level of accuracy.\n
\n* Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities, locations, and workflows.\n
