Job Description
Senior Construction Project Manager — Commercial - General Contracting/Healthcare Work
\nPittsburgh, PA | Full-Time | $110,000 – $130,000
Why MBM Contracting?\nMBM Contracting is not your typical general contractor. As a second-generation, family-owned company, we have spent decades earning the trust of Pittsburgh’s most respected healthcare systems. We are entering a period of significant growth and are looking for a Senior Project Manager who wants to be part of that next chapter. When you join MBM, you join a team where your work is seen, your voice matters, and your success is directly tied to the company’s success.
What Makes MBM Different:\n- \n
- Family-owned, second-generation leadership — you will work alongside owners who are invested in your success personally and professionally. \n
- Significant company growth means high-visibility projects and a clear path to senior leadership for the right person. \n
- Preferred contractor status with Pittsburgh’s top healthcare systems, including UPMC and Allegheny Health Network — you will lead projects that matter. \n
- Competitive salary of $110,000–$130,000, plus performance-based bonuses that reflect the value you bring. \n
- Long-term stability built on decades of repeat client relationships and a reputation for delivering on our promises. \n
About the Role\n
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This is a high-impact role with full ownership of project delivery — you will manage complex, multi-million-dollar projects within active healthcare environments, lead multi-disciplined project teams, and serve as the primary client-facing representative for MBM Contracting.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Lead all phases of large-scale healthcare construction projects ($5M–$50M+), from preconstruction planning through final closeout and warranty. \n
- Serve as the primary owner and client contact — build and maintain strong relationships with hospital administrators, facility directors, architects, and engineers. \n
- Manage subcontractor procurement, scopes, buyout, performance, and payment applications. \n
- Lead project OAC meetings, design coordination sessions, and executive-level status presentations. \n
- Review and approve RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor pay applications. \n
Required:
\n- \n
- 2+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with significant healthcare project experience. \n
- Proven track record managing complex, large-scale projects ($5M and above) within active healthcare or clinical environments. \n
- Deep knowledge of ICRA/PCRA requirements, FGI guidelines, infection control protocols, and healthcare facility standards. \n
- Strong command of construction scheduling (Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent), budgeting, and contract administration. \n
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop project teams. \n
- Exceptional client relationship management and executive-level communication skills. \n
Preferred:
\n- \n
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification. \n
- Prior experience managing projects for UPMC, Allegheny Health Network, or other major Pittsburgh-area health systems. \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field. \n
- \n
- Base salary of $110,000–$130,000 commensurate with experience. \n
- Performance-based bonuses tied to project outcomes and company growth. \n
- Health insurance. \n
- Paid time off and company holidays. \n
Lead bigger projects. Make a bigger impact.
\n If you are an experienced construction professional ready to take ownership of high-impact healthcare and commercial projects, MBM Contracting would like to hear from you.
