LPN 3 - Cardiac Surgery - Full Time
Job Description
Our Cardiac Surgery Unit is a 24-private bed unit that cares for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV drips, vascular surgery patients and general medical overflow. Our Nurses work on a support team of educators, PCA/PCT's, Case Managers, Respiratory Therapists, Dieticians, PT/OT and Speech Therapists. You will earn credentials in ACLS and build strong clinical skills for our cardiac and vascular population.
\n\nMinimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)

S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
\n - \n
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
\n - \n
LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri.
\n - \n
Other unit-specific certifications as required.
\n
Physical Requirements:

Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
\n - \n
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
