Compensation: $38.00 – $55.00 per hour (Based on experience)\n

\n The Opportunity:\n
\n Join our dedicated laboratory team in Nassau County as a Full-Time Histology Technician. In this role, you will play a critical part in the diagnostic process, ensuring the highest quality of patient care through precision microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures.\n

\n
\n
\n Key Responsibilities:\n
\n
    \n
  • Prepare high-quality slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures.
    • \n
  • Maintain laboratory excellence by performing and documenting preventative maintenance.
    • \n
  • Proactively troubleshoot issues within the processing, embedding, and cutting workflows.
    • \n
  • Uphold rigorous safety and quality control standards in a fast-paced environment.
    • \n

\n Qualifications:\n
\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in microtomy and embedding.
    • \n
  • At least 1 year of high-complexity laboratory testing experience.
    • \n
  • High School Diploma required; BS/AS in Histotechnology or related science preferred.
    • \n
  • ASCP Certification (HT/HTL) and NYS Licensure are highly preferred.
