Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, full-time Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our dynamic pain management team. This role provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients with acute and chronic pain, helping to meet growing demand for services across our North Country locations.
Duties
- \n
- Provide office-based evaluation, diagnosis, and management of pain conditions for new and established adult patients \n
- Manage medications, including controlled substances, following best practices for safety and compliance (PDMP, urine drug screens) \n
- Perform minor pain procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, joint injections, occipital nerve blocks, cold ablation, Botox for migraines) \n
- Refer patients to CRNA colleagues for interventional procedures (e.g., epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation) \n
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding pain management plans \n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including CRNAs, physicians, and allied health professionals \n
- Document care in Meditech Expanse EMR system \n
- Participate in shared call rotation (phone only, no in-hospital call; ~1 week every 4 weeks once fully onboarded) \n
- May provide occasional inpatient or emergency department consults

Essential Qualifications
- \n
- Board certified by NCH Medical Staff Bylaws. \n
- ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association required. \n
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in New Hampshire (or eligible) \n
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pain management \n
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills \n
- Commitment to a compassionate, nonjudgmental, whole-person approach to pain care \n
- X-waiver for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred but not required
