Position Overview and Qualifications


In the role of Registered Nurse within the Medical Surgical Float Pool, you will be tasked with providing exceptional, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for your specialty and state. Working collaboratively with healthcare providers and the care team, you will deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing frameworks such as ‘Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.’ Additionally, you will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying our organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure a remarkable patient experience and favorable clinical outcomes.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Evaluating the patient’s condition upon admission and during each scheduled shift, swiftly identifying and reporting any changes in their status.

  • Executing procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care in the patient’s medical record. Administering prescribed medications, observing the patient for therapeutic responses, and taking appropriate actions in case of any adverse reactions.

  • Delivering outstanding care by promptly addressing patient requests, proactively anticipating their needs, and resolving any issues that arise.

  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, ensuring clarity by simplifying complex medical terminology.


Qualifications required for this position:


  • Registered Nurse license

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is required
