Position Overview

This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, while operating within the boundaries of your professional license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating patients and ensure their overall well-being.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions to treatments.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and provide therapeutic services.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, including self-care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care.
  • Document patient encounters as directed by the provider, including diagnoses, symptoms, discharge instructions, and prescriptions.
  • Transcribe orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications, ensuring patient charts are updated with results from labs, x-rays, and other evaluations.
  • Maintain constant vigilance and operate safely in all tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly communicate verbally to share information.
  • Frequent standing and walking are required.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 0-25 lbs.
  • Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry activities.
  • Frequent visual acuity for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
  • Regularly use smell to identify odors and hearing to receive oral communication and detect alarms.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs and moving patients.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical movements.
  • Rarely required to crawl or run.
Licensure and Certifications

For positions in Illinois:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

For positions in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by a Compact State.
Work Schedule

This position operates on a day shift schedule, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
