Mechanical Piping Drafter

An engineering company is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to support treatment plant design projects across its regional footprint. This newly created role offers the chance to contribute meaningful, community-focused infrastructure work while leading drawing development on multi-discipline project teams. Senior Piping Designer Responsibilities - Provide technical design support for water and wastewater treatment projects as part of a multi-discipline team - Lead development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, site layouts, and equipment layouts - Develop process piping drawings and design layouts for treatment plants, pump stations, and related facilities - Produce construction-ready drawings and sketches as needed - Complete design tasks on schedule and within budget - Coordinate closely with project managers, senior engineers, and design team members to keep work moving efficiently - Take ownership of drawing accuracy and overall design layout quality Senior Piping Designer Requirements: - 10 or more years of mechanical process piping design experience - Demonstrated history leading drawing development including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts - AutoCAD, Civil3D or other similar drafting program experience - Associates or bachelors degree is a plus
