As ourCardiology Section Chief, you will lead and innovate within a prestigious, established, and growing employed practice in scenic Prescott, AZ. This pivotal leadership role offers a unique blend ofclinical excellenceand strategic departmental oversight, focusing oncardiovascular quality improvement, practice development, andprovider engagement. \n\nEvery day you will provide 0.8 FTE of dedicatedclinical cardiology care, directly impacting patient outcomes and serving as a role model for best practices. Concurrently, your 0.2 administrative FTE will be dedicated todepartmental strategic planning, establishing cutting-edge protocols, conducting comprehensiveprovider performance reviews, and championing professional development initiatives for ourcardiology team. You will actively collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to elevatepatient experienceand integrate into a robust leadership framework, including participation in the Yavapai Regional Medical Group Leadership Council and shaping future medical education programs forGME candidates,medical students, andAPPs.
\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will possess board certification in Cardiology with a proven track record of clinical excellence andleadership in cardiovascular medicine. You'll demonstrate an unwavering commitment toquality outcomes, continuous learning, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a dedication to bothpatient-centered careandprovider growthare essential. Ideally, candidates will have experience in developing and implementingcardiac care pathways, optimizing departmental workflows, and contributing to the advancement ofcardiovascular educationwithin a healthcare system.

- Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology, in ACGME approved programs \n
- Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology) \n
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona \n
- Valid DEA certificate \n

The Department Chair is responsible for delivering outstanding patient care as well as administrative leadership and oversight for the department and clinical specialty subsections.The Department Chair will commit to clinical work as a 0.8 FTE and a 0.2 administrative FTE.
