The General Dentist in St. Paul, MN, provides comprehensive oral healthcare services to adult and pediatric patients in a community health center setting. This role emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and evidence-based treatment while working collaboratively within an integrated care model to support whole-person health.
\nKey ResponsibilitiesClinical Care\n

- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning \n
- Provide a full scope of general dentistry services, including:\n

- Preventive care (cleanings, fluoride, sealants) \n
- Restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns) \n
- Simple and surgical extractions \n
- Endodontic and limited prosthodontic procedures, as appropriate \n
\n - Manage dental emergencies and urgent care needs \n
- Deliver care in accordance with evidence-based clinical standards and FQHC guidelines \n
- \n
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment options \n
- Promote patient understanding, compliance, and long-term oral health \n
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care \n
- \n
- Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and front-office staff \n
- Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers as part of an integrated care team \n
- Participate in community outreach, school-based programs, or health education initiatives as assigned \n
- \n
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic dental record (EDR) \n
- Comply with HRSA, OSHA, CDC, and applicable dental practice regulations \n
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols \n
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance improvement activities \n
Required Qualifications\n

- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school \n
- Current or eligible MN dental license \n
- DEA registration (or eligibility) \n
- CPR/BLS certification \n
- Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations \n
Preferred Qualifications\n
- \n
- Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or public health setting \n
- Experience treating Medicaid and uninsured populations \n
- Familiarity with electronic dental records and quality reporting \n
- Interest in community outreach and preventive dentistry \n
