Full-Time (30 hours/week) | Direct Hire

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organized Veteran Independence Program Advisor to support individuals—particularly Veterans, older adults, and those with disabilities—in achieving and maintaining independent living within the community.
This role partners with healthcare providers and community organizations to deliver personalized support services that improve quality of life and empower clients to remain in control of their care.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of 45+ active consumers
Conduct functional needs assessments to determine service requirements
Develop and implement individualized support and spending plans
Assist clients with budget management, service selection, and purchasing needs
Support consumers in hiring, training, supervising, and terminating caregivers/support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and case records
Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and support networks
Promote independent living philosophy and consumer choice

Qualifications

Should have experience working with Veterans
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2+ years of experience working with:

Individuals with disabilities
Older adults
Similar populations

Knowledge of:

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Rehabilitation Act
Fair Housing Act
