Job Description
We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to become part of our dynamic, hospital-centered practice located in the greater Phoenix area. This opportunity is perfect for a driven physician who thrives in an inpatient setting, enjoys tackling complex cases, and is eager to work across multiple hospitals in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States.
Position Highlights- Inpatient-focused role as a urology hospitalist, with optional outpatient clinic opportunities available.
- Weekend call responsibilities ranging from 8 to 26 shifts annually (Friday 1:00 p.m. to Monday 8:00 a.m.).
- Coverage for approximately 3 to 7 hospitals each weekend, supported by 1 to 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and a strong clinical team.
- All licensing and credentialing fees will be fully covered by our organization.
Established in 2008, we are a regional leader in advanced urologic and urogynecological care, providing cutting-edge treatments for various conditions affecting the prostate, bladder, kidneys, and pelvic floor. Our fellowship-trained specialists are adept at managing complex issues, including vaginal prolapse and prostate cancer, utilizing minimally invasive and robotic techniques to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
Our practice is recognized as a premier destination for referrals from physicians and patients in the Phoenix area, particularly for:
- Robotic surgeries for prostate and kidney cancer, as well as sacrocolpopexy.
- Advanced treatments for incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction.
You will be joining a large, collaborative team that includes:
- Urology Specialists: Jeffrey Stern MD FACS, Aaron LaTowsky MD, David Kaplan MD, Chandan Kundavaram MD, John Mai MD, Amy Schlaifer MD, Joshua Jones MD, Oliver Ko MD
- Urogynecology Specialists: Jennifer Klauschie MD, Keri Wong MD, Hemikaa Devikumar MD, Christina Rogers DO
- 12+ Advanced Practice Providers supporting both inpatient and outpatient care.
Our areas of expertise encompass:
- Prostate cancer, Da Vinci robotic surgery, GreenLight laser, vasectomy.
- Incontinence and female vaginal prolapse.
- Erectile dysfunction.
- Laparoscopic nephrectomy.
- ThermiVa, Rezum, Urolift, and other advanced BPH/pelvic health therapies.
The Urology Hospitalist will be responsible for:
- Providing weekend inpatient coverage and rounding on hospitalized urology patients.
- Managing post-operative patients, handling inpatient consults, and performing urologic surgeries and procedures.
- Collaborating closely with APPs and the broader team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Incorporating clinic/outpatient sessions based on personal interest and group requirements.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
- Open to both new graduates and seasoned physicians.
- Welcoming both AMG and IMG candidates.
- Interest in modern, technology-driven urologic care and complex inpatient management.
