Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Critical Care Physician to become part of a well-established and high-performing team as a Nocturnist. This position provides a chance to work in a collaborative setting with strong specialty support while delivering advanced, patient-focused care within an expanding healthcare system.
Position Highlights- Join a close-knit team comprising 14 Physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Work a 7/7 schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- No outpatient clinic responsibilities.
- Access to 24/7 APP support.
- Primary location: Medical Center with 67 ICU/CCU beds.
- Secondary location: Medical Center with 7 ICU beds.

- Serve as a Regional Referral Hub: Provide care to a diverse tertiary service area serving 1.5 million residents across central Iowa.
- Practice in an Advanced Clinical Environment: Engage in a highly specialized system featuring a Neuro Trauma ICU and a closed ICU model designed for high-quality, team-oriented care.
- Utilize Cutting-Edge Technology: Gain access to advanced tools such as O-arm imaging, bi-plane suites, minimally invasive capabilities, multiple navigation stations, ECMO, and ECPR. The facility is also a certified Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
- Base Salary: $578,340
- Recruitment Incentive: $75,000
- Relocation Allowance: Up to $15,000
- Annual CME Allowance: $6,000
- Malpractice Insurance: Includes tail coverage.
