The El Paso VA Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist to join its imaging team. The ideal candidate will provide high?quality diagnostic imaging services that support the clinical needs of Veterans receiving care at the El Paso VA Health Care System. This physician plays a critical role in the accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity of care across multiple specialties.
\nMajor Duties & Responsibilities

- Interpret a full range of diagnostic imaging studies including: \n
- X?ray \n
- CT scans \n
- MRI \n
- Ultrasound \n
- Fluoroscopic examinations \n
- Provide accurate, timely diagnostic reports to referring providers. \n
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and provide clinical consultation to VA clinicians. \n
- Ensure compliance with VHA policies, American College of Radiology (ACR) standards, and best practices in diagnostic imaging. \n
- Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. \n
- Support radiation safety measures and oversight in accordance with VA and federal regulations. \n
- Participate in quality assurance activities, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives. \n
- Utilize PACS and RIS systems effectively for imaging review, documentation, and communication. \n
- Provide guidance and oversight to onsite imaging staff and support continuous professional development within the Radiology Service. \n

Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). \n
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or AOBR). \n
- Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory. \n
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency. \n
- Proficiency with modern imaging technology and electronic medical records. \n
Preferred Qualifications
\n- \n
- Experience working in a VA, DoD, or other federal health system. \n
- Subspecialty fellowship training (e.g., Neuroradiology, MSK, Body Imaging) is desirable but not required. \n
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary care environment. \n
Work Environment

- Outpatient and inpatient imaging services within the El Paso VA Medical Center. \n
- Direct collaboration with a variety of clinical services including Surgery, Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Specialty Clinics, and more. \n
