Position Overview:

Work Location: Emergency Room - Float Pool

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Days/Evenings from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Rotation includes every third weekend and holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are intended to outline the general nature of the role and are not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

  • Engage in and maintain awareness of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Thoroughly assess and incorporate evidence-based practices and research into clinical care.
  • Perform and document precise clinical evaluations.
  • Create, implement, and assess individualized care plans for patients.
  • Effectively manage patient assignments by delegating tasks based on patient needs and team members' skills.
  • Develop a comprehensive educational plan for patients and their families, utilizing suitable resources, and document in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Support patient and family rights by facilitating informed decisions and advanced directives.
  • Continuously assess and modify care plans in response to changes in patients' health conditions.
  • Formulate a thorough discharge plan, utilizing appropriate resources and referrals, including community services.
  • Assist in the onboarding and development of new staff members, aiding their transition into the unit.
  • Engage in professional growth by identifying educational needs and pursuing relevant training.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department.
  • Current RN licensure in Massachusetts in good standing is required.
  • BSN is highly preferred.
  • Associate’s degree is acceptable.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of Critical Care experience is desirable.

The base salary ranges reflect the minimum qualifications for this position.
