As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide expert respiratory care across a variety of inpatient settings while serving as a trusted clinical resource for physicians, nurses, patients, and families.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Deliver respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders \n
- Assess patient conditions and recommend appropriate respiratory interventions \n
- Support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures \n
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and treatments \n
- Participate in physician rounds and interdisciplinary care planning \n
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards \n
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory care equipment \n
- Serve as a clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor as needed \n
- Stay current on evidence-based practices and respiratory care advancements \n
- \n
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program \n
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state requirements \n
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) \n
- Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting, pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 pounds \n
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills \n
- \n
- ACLS certification \n
- Critical care experience \n
- PALS certification for therapists working in the Emergency Department \n
