1st Class Pipe Welder
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders to perform high-quality welding on pipe systems in shipyard and/or industrial environments. This role requires strong technical welding skills, the ability to read and interpret drawings, and a commitment to safety and workmanship.
\nJob Responsibilities

Weld pipe using approved welding processes such as SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and/or GMAW (MIG) depending on project requirements

Perform welds on various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipe
\n - \n
Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, isometrics, and specifications
\n - \n
Fit up pipe joints as needed prior to welding
\n - \n
Perform welds in multiple positions (1G–6G as required)
\n - \n
Ensure welds meet quality standards and pass visual and nondestructive testing when required
\n - \n
Use welding and cutting equipment safely and properly
\n - \n
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
\n - \n
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and shipyard or site regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipe Welder (shipyard or industrial preferred)
\n - \n
Ability to pass a welding test specific to project requirements
\n - \n
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices
\n - \n
Ability to read and interpret welding drawings and specifications
\n - \n
Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in industrial environments
\n - \n
Must be able to meet project-specific drug screen and background check requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Shipyard or marine welding experience
\n - \n
Current welding certifications (as applicable)
\n - \n
Experience working with high-pressure or critical pipe systems
