Location: Beckley, West Virginia, located in the Appalachian Mountains of Southern West Virginia

Schedule: Full-time | MondayFriday | No call, no weekends, no holidays

Position Description

\n
    \n
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations
  • \n
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • \n
  • Interpret diagnostic studies including:\n
      \n
    • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
    • \n
    • Echocardiograms
    • \n
    • Holter monitors
    • \n
    • Exercise stress tests
    • \n
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Provide consultative support in:\n
      \n
    • Emergency Department
    • \n
    • Intensive Care Unit
    • \n
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Assist with emergency cardiac care, including cardiac arrest response
  • \n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning
  • \n
  • Document patient care, including daily progress notes
  • \n
  • Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care as needed
  • \n
  • Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers
  • \n
  • Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities
  • \n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • \n
  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency with board eligibility or certification in Cardiology
  • \n
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
  • \n
  • Federal DEA license
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification
  • \n
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • \n
