Brick Mason $28-$32/HR

Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring experienced Brick Masons for a project in Macedonia starting immediately. Qualified candidates will have no less than 4+ years' experience laying brick and block. OSHA 10 preferred but not required. Must have PPE and basic hand tools.

Brick Mason Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years commercial experience
\n
• Able to read and interpret construction plans
\n
• Must be able work from scaffolding
\n
• Must have basic hand tools and PPE
\n
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
\n
• OSHA 10 preferred but not required
\n
• Must have valid license and reliable transportation
\n

Brick Mason Job Scope

\n
• Lay out foundations and patterns using measuring tools such as straightedges and rules
\n
• Verify the vertical and horizontal elevation of a structure using levels and plumb bob
\n
• Mix specific amount of sand, cement, lime, and water to form mortar or refractory mixture
\n
• Spread mortar on slabs and surfaces to fuse bricks, tiles or blocks together
\n
• Use hammer, power saw or edge of trowels to break or cut blocks to desired sizes
\n
• Conduct repairs on walls, partitions, and columns to remove defective blocks and replace with solid ones
\n
• Use trowels and other hand tools to remove or apply mortar over work surface
\n
