Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours, Monday to Friday

Our organization is an integrated healthcare system serving around 400,000 residents in central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of over 40 primary and specialty care facilities. This includes a regional referral hospital with a 250-bed capacity, which features the only Cancer Care Center in the area, an orthopedic surgery center, and a heart and vascular institute. Additionally, it serves as the base for the state’s only medical helicopter service.
We also operate two critical access hospitals that provide vital healthcare services to rural communities in Maine.
As part of our dedication to healthcare education and workforce development, we host the first nursing and medical imaging school in Maine, which is accredited and plays a crucial role in training future healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver medically prescribed physical therapy services aimed at evaluating, treating, and restoring function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. Provide patient-centered care in line with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments.
- Create and implement tailored treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional enhancement.
- Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery objectives.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or Certificate in Physical Therapy.
- Valid state Physical Therapy license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
