Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Job Description
Our organization is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team in Corning, NY.
DUTIES:
Support the Director of Nursing in management tasks and uphold the quality of care provided.
Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds.
Facilitate compliance and ensure effective communication across all nursing staff levels.
Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents.
Be available on call 24 hours.
Coordinate and oversee the comprehensive planning for nursing services.
Maintain a thorough understanding of general nursing principles and practices.
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical documentation.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing personnel.
Supervise the daily staffing process.
Implement infection control measures.
Adapt work schedule to meet unpredictable demands.
Must possess a current RN license in the state.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care environments is required.
Preferred: 2 years of management experience.
Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education.
Strong communication skills are essential.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience are required.
Flexibility in working hours is necessary.
