Our organization is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team in Corning, NY.

DUTIES:
  • Support the Director of Nursing in management tasks and uphold the quality of care provided.

  • Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds.

  • Facilitate compliance and ensure effective communication across all nursing staff levels.

  • Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents.

  • Be available on call 24 hours.

  • Coordinate and oversee the comprehensive planning for nursing services.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of general nursing principles and practices.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical documentation.

  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing personnel.

  • Supervise the daily staffing process.

  • Implement infection control measures.

  • Adapt work schedule to meet unpredictable demands.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess a current RN license in the state.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care environments is required.

  • Preferred: 2 years of management experience.

  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education.

  • Strong communication skills are essential.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience are required.

  • Flexibility in working hours is necessary.
