The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is actively seeking a full-time physician to join the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. About the Department & Our Health Services

Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is dedicated to providing comprehensive women's health services, ensuring high-quality patient care while emphasizing education and research.

• Approximately 60,000 patient visits and 3,000 deliveries each year.
• Multidisciplinary programs in areas such as maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrinology.
• Active participation in clinical innovation, resident education, and research supported by NIH and various foundations.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will engage in direct clinical care, research, and the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. We value creativity in program development and growth, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively. Candidates should be adept at providing a wide range of obstetrical and gynecologic care, including gynecologic surgery for medically complex patients. We encourage and support areas of special interest within women's health care. The academic rank will be based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic care at UF Health Shands Hospital.
• Consult with patients at various clinics and perform both major and minor gynecologic surgeries.
• Participate in rotating night and weekend on-call duties.
• Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows through teaching and participation in departmental activities, including rounds and special lectures.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement initiatives relevant to your experience and interests.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligibility for a Florida Medical License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal doctoral degree in a clinical science (MD or DO). Additional degrees such as an MBA or MPH are welcomed.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
