Quick Facts Location: Georgetown, DE Start Date: 04/28/2026 Duration: Ongoing Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, no call, 1 weekend/month (phone on-call weekly) Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Permanent Licenses/Certifications: Active medical license, DEA, board certification preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient psychiatry experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (discussed at interview) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) plan CME stipend Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide inpatient psychiatric care to patients with complex mental health conditions Manage a patient load of approximately 18 patients per day Participate in involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy management Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supporting mental health treatment Document patient care using WellSky EMR system Support unit operations with a focus on quality and safety What You Need Required: MD or DO degree with valid medical license in Delaware Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry Experience with involuntary commitments and psychopharmacology Ability to work a day shift schedule with no call on evenings/weekends Preferred: Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings Familiarity with WellSky EMR About the Assignment SUN Behavioral Health Delaware is a reputable provider dedicated to mental health excellence in Georgetown.
