Registered Nurse ICU / ICU RN (12 hour Shifts)

Job Title: Registered Nurse ICU / RN ICU Adult Intensive Care Unit\n

• Nights shift (added shift differential)
\n
• Staff floats to other areas as needed
\n
• Basic Arrhythmia class within 6 months of hire
\n
• ACLS within 3-6 months of hire
\n
• Requires 36 hours per schedule
\n
• A 12-hour shift on each of two designated holidays
\n

Job Summary:\n

The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.

Minimum Education:\n

\n
• Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
\n

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification:\n

\n
• Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
\n

Work Experience:\n

\n
• 0 - 6 months related experience
\n
• 1 year of experience preferred
\n

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients
\n
• Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors
\n
• Documents steps of the nursing process utilizing proper medical terminology
\n
• Addresses problems and progress toward goals
\n
• Facilitates patient discharge through referrals and utilization of patient education resources
\n
• Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate
\n
• Supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities
\n
