General, General Surgeon Opening in Gorgeous Marion, Virginia

Ballad Health is seeking a General Surgeon to join an established, high-performing surgical group. This position is based at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia, with clinical and call support provided by a partner group of seven surgeons located in Bristol, Tennessee. The role offers a broad general surgery practice with access to advanced technology, including the da Vinci robotic surgical system, and significant opportunity for endoscopic procedures.

About the Opening:

• Provide comprehensive general surgery services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
\n
• Perform a wide range of operative procedures consistent with a community?based, bread and butter general surgery practice.
\n
• Conduct endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy, with the capacity to build a high-volume endoscopy practice.
\n
• Utilize the da Vinci robotic platform for minimally invasive surgical procedures as appropriate.
\n
• Participate in hospital call coverage at Smyth County Community Hospital, supported by the Bristol-based surgical team. Call responsibilities include no more than 10 call shifts per month, with remaining days being covered by partners located in the Bristol office.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.
