Exciting Leadership Opportunity: Women's Health Medical Director
Join our organization as a full-time Women's Health Medical Director (Physician) in Salisbury, NC, and take the lead in delivering compassionate care to our veteran women. This dynamic leadership position allows you to make a significant difference while managing primary care services in a nurturing environment. Leadership & Clinical OversightIn this role, you will:
- Provide strategic direction for all designated Women's Health Primary Care Providers at our facility, ensuring clinical excellence and competency.
- Collaborate across various disciplines to enhance performance metrics, drive initiatives, and address gender disparities.
- Lead performance improvement projects that align with VA and Joint Commission standards.
- Engage in leadership committees, conduct site rounds, and contribute to system-wide policy development.
- Mentor providers, promote telehealth services, and coordinate care transfers within the organization.
- Develop and support educational programs aimed at improving women's health services and the overall quality of care for veterans.
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
- Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
- Licensure: Candidates must hold a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is necessary.
- Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible.
- Preferred Experience: A primary care trained physician (MD/DO) with a focus on women's health and experience in procedures such as endometrial biopsy, Nexplanon insertion and removal, and IUD insertion and removal. Preference will be given to clinicians proficient in Women's Health procedures with PACT management experience.
- EDRP: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offering student loan payment reimbursement.
- Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000.
- Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases.
- Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time off, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and a possible 5-day paid absence for CME.
- Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with contributions up to 5% by the organization.
- Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).
- CME: Possible reimbursement of up to $2,500 per year for continuing medical education.
- Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
- Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
