Associate Physician - OBGYN - MaineHealth, Internal Float Position
Job Description
Our organization is looking for both full-time and part-time board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologists to fill two internal float pool roles. This position offers the chance to work flexibly across our hospitals, engaging in office visits, gynecological surgeries, and obstetric care. The selected physician will rotate as an attending physician among various community hospitals within our network that offer delivery services. These include facilities such as Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta, Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport, Stephens Hospital in Norway, Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, and Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH.
By joining our team, you will collaborate with supportive colleagues and build strong relationships with providers deeply rooted in the local communities. You will have access to comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including a fully integrated Epic EMR system across all locations. Each site provides access to sub-specialty referrals and consultations, covering areas such as urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, as well as complex family planning services.
The ideal candidate should be board certified, possess at least five years of experience in comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology, and be comfortable practicing independently in rural settings. We are looking for someone with not only excellent clinical abilities but also strong interpersonal skills, who thrives in dynamic team environments.

The obstetrics and gynecology residency program at our Maine Medical Center, established in 1976, has a long-standing tradition of training the OB GYN workforce in Maine and currently supports 17 post-graduate trainees who rotate through various delivery sites.

Qualifications:
MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Board Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the relevant fields.
Eligibility for licensure in both Maine and New Hampshire.
