As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will be crucial in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of nursing procedures, ensuring that each individual receives tailored and compassionate attention. This role primarily focuses on the ICU but may involve assisting in the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics during periods of low patient volume.
- Administer nursing care to critically ill patients in a 5-bed ICU
- Facilitate inpatient recovery for post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients
- Follow physicians' orders, care standards, and hospital regulations
- Operate both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Keep patient records and care plans current and accurate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU environment
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current, valid, unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- COVID-19 vaccination (medical and religious exemptions may be considered)
