Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pain Center\n
\nDepartment: Outpatient Pain Management Clinic
\nSchedule: Full-time, daytime hours
\nCategory: Nursing (specialized in pain management/clinical procedures)
\nWhat Will They Do:\n
\nCore Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Provide direct patient care, including: \n
- \n
- Patient assessment \n
- Developing and implementing care plans \n
- Assisting in medical procedures (especially pain interventions) \n
- Evaluating patient progress and adjusting care as needed \n
\n - Perform clinical tasks, such as: \n
- \n
- Administer medications or injections \n
- Assist with minor surgical or procedural pain treatments \n
- Monitor vitals \n
- Educate patients on pain management and follow-up care \n
\n
Additional Tasks May Include:
\n- \n
- Sterile technique tasks: \n
- \n
- Gowning and gloving \n
- Retraction and limb holding during procedures \n
- Assisting with patient positioning \n
- Assisting with operating room (OR) setup and cleanup \n
\n - Lab-related tasks: \n
- \n
- Drawing blood or preparing lab specimens (if at community clinics) \n
\n - On-call responsibilities: \n
- \n
- Be available for call shifts as needed \n
- Carry a pager \n
\n
Certifications Required (some may be obtained during orientation):\n
\n- \n
- RN License (ND or Compact state) \n
- BLS (Basic Life Support) \n
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) \n
- Point-of-care certifications specific to department procedures \n
