Position Overview

An immediate opening exists for experienced Structural Welders and Fitters in the Midland, TX area. Qualified candidates must successfully complete an AWS D1.1 weld test prior to placement.

Weld Test Requirements

• Code: AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code (Steel)
\n
• Test Type: Groove Weld – Butt Joint
\n
• Position: 2G (Horizontal)
\n
• Base Metal: A36 or A572 Structural Steel
\n

Ideal Candidate Profile

\n
• Experience welding and fitting to AWS D1.1 structural code
\n
• Proficient in structural steel applications
\n
• Ability to pass a 2G groove weld butt joint test
\n
• Experience with A36 and/or A572 structural steel
\n
• Skilled in fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation
\n
• Able to read and interpret structural drawings and weld symbols
\n
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of meeting production standards
\n
