Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our team located in the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.
\nThe Cardiology Department is seeking an Electrophysiologist to join three board certified EP physicians and one EP APP in a practice that includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services. The selected candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient services at Nazareth Hospital, St. Mary Medical Center, and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Call is 1:3.
\nThe extended Cardiology group offers a full range of Cardiology services including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, structural heart, heart failure and EP, working together with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery services.

\nJob duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Evaluates patients. In doing so, reviews and interprets patients health history, conducts physical exam, and reviews laboratory, x-ray, and other test reports to determine diagnosis. \n
- Based on results of patients evaluation, develops, and implements treatment plan and provides education to patients. \n
- Communicates findings and treatment plan to patient, family members, and referring physician. Answers questions to ensure complete understanding of information. \n
- Performs surgical procedures to place pacemakers, LAA closure devices, or cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). \n
- Performs complex ablations for SVT, VT, and AF. \n
- Performs lead extractions and complex device revisions (if trained). \n
- Monitors function of pacemaker or ICD through review of remote and in-clinic monitored data, provides interpretive report, and adjusts system as required for optimal results. \n
- Recognizes abnormal patient responses to antiarrhythmic treatment procedures, surgery and/or medication and implements corrective actions as appropriate. \n
- Documents all aspects of care provided. Completes paperwork necessary to assure payment for services rendered. \n
- Participates in the EP call coverage rotation. \n
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals, and related material, and by attending seminars, conferences and meetings. \n
- Contributes to the education of medical residents and cardiology fellows. \n
